Elev8 Fun announces early May opening in Tampa

Entertainment center hiring for Citrus Park Town Center Mall location

Get ready, Tampa residents. Elev8 Fun is taking your entertainment options to the next level this May.

The new 125,000-square-foot, two-story entertainment venue plans to open its doors in early May in the Citrus Park Town Center Mall and is now hiring friendly faces who want a FUN job.

The center will offer a nearly unmatched variety of attractions, including a state-of-the-art indoor go-kart track, more than 100 vintage and modern arcade games, 12 bowling lanes, blacklight mini golf, the next generation of axe throwing, an expansive laser tag arena and more.

To help staff those attractions, the entertainment venue will host a job fair April 25-27 at the Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Northwest/Veterans Expressway, 12730 Citrus Park Lane in Tampa. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday. The center aims to hire 250 positions with full- and part-time roles in attractions, food and beverage, guest services and more.

Those interested should sign up for a slot here. Jobs are available for those17 and older with night and weekend availability and reliable transportation.

This will be the concept’s second location, following the opening of an Orlando-area location in late 2021. Elev8 Fun has built a successful model of creating positive, fun spaces for the community by opening in formerly empty shopping mall locations. The Tampa location is a former Sears.

“We’re reimagining and reenergizing these shopping centers, making them into spaces that the entire community can look forward to, from families to couples looking for a date night,” said David Goldfarb, president and founder of PrimeTime Amusements, a partner in the Elev8 Fun project. “The Orlando area has embraced this concept with amazing success, and we’re excited to become part of and serve the Tampa community.”

In addition to great attractions, Elev8 Fun in Tampa will offer a full-service restaurant and two full-service bars. The Tampa location will also add an outdoor beer garden.

With so many offerings, the center is well-positioned to host a wide variety of groups, from children’s birthday parties to full-scale corporate retreats. The center will feature six party rooms and conference meeting spaces.

Elev8 Fun also has a concept under construction in South Florida, in Jensen Beach, and is looking at more than a dozen additional locations to scale quickly.
